In the beginning

April 20th, we trekked into Watertown for testing for Firstborn. I will not get the results for about a week. Hopefully, there will be something quantifiable in the results that we can use to convince the school system to give him modifications. IE. We don't want him to have to take a listening comprehension test. At least not until we can remediate this in some way.

So today, I call the Advanced Brain company to see about purchasing the Listening Program. Within a week, Firstborn should be listening to the CDs for 15 minutes a day for 5 days of a week. And then we can take a look at what progress he is making.

The interesting thing I saw was that the rest of the day yesterday, he had absolutely no ability to listen to a single thing I said. It was like the testing had pushed him beyond what he could bear and he had turned off the ears for the day.

He also cried easily and was frustrated easily. However, he nailed a jump side kick on his first attempt at Karate class.
